Service from within

Three sisters live in a poor barrio outside Caracas. They are present to the people in their joys, sorrows and daily struggles as they work to form Christian communities.

This includes catechesis of children, youth and adults in 10 centres, formation of catechists, bible group facilitators, pastoral ministry with Afro-descendientes and families.
Since the Latin American Bishops meeting in Aperecida two years ago there is a renewed call to the Church here to be in MISSION and to EVANGELIZE.
For the past eight years a weekly formation programme in Leadership (based on Ignatian Spirituality) for young people takes place in our house. These young people are motivated to follow in the footsteps (huellas) of Jesus and reach out to the most needy. Recently they have been invited to help form other youth in the diocese by sharing their knowledge, skills and experience.
The sisters also co-ordinate two food kitchens three days each week ministering to children and adults who are in need of a cooked meal.
